Favourite track: 'Bigmouth Strikes Again'

I hadn't heard The Queen Is Dead in full until about 25 years after its release. Late to the party as per! I'd heard tracks such as Big Mouth Strikes Again and There Is A Light That Never Goes Out but I hadn't listened to the album in full until Andy, my brother in law, lent me his original copy on vinyl. Nothing beats listening to a album in its entirety to get the full picture. In today's culture of music streaming and playlists, we are often all too tempted to cherry pick the best songs. Listening to The Queen Is Dead in full, throws a whole new light (that never goes out 😉) on to the more better known tracks which otherwise may end up on a playlist sandwiched between How Soon Is Now and This Charming Man. I think it's important to appreciate music in its originally intended context. And that's how Messrs Morrissey and Marr intended for us to hear those songs. Even if it was 25 years after release!
